Job description

Overview

This Sr. Process Engineer position works out of our Fairburn GA manufacturing plant. This role will rely heavily on world-class analytical capabilities coupled with a strong shop floor presence and bias for action.

Responsibilities

  • Manage equipment installation, process validations, and document manufacturing methods to ensure robust process control.
  • Develop and maintain robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Implement best practice methods and standard processes to reduce variation. Demonstrates ability to understand source(s) of variation and identify impact to the high-volume manufacturing processes. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implements corrective actions to optimize performance and reduce waste.
  • Manage and document process validations, equipment installation, and manufacturing method improvements.
  • Support operations with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing variability and improving throughput.
  • Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing methods, processes, and controls with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Conduct root cause analysis for production and quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years of process engineering / continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated success in delivering productivity and cost improvements
  • Experience driving lean process change utilizing TPS methods Key Attributes

  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a desire to work for a fast-paced organization
  • Detailed understanding of process capabilitiy, Minitab
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing organization
  • Strong skills in collaborating with internal and external customers.
