Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Physician Assistant to provide high-quality mental health care to a diverse adult patient population. This role focuses on medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
include:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions including:
- Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, Schizophrenia
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient response
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and primary care teams
- Ensure compliance with NY State regulations and organizational protocols
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State PA license
- NCCPA certification (in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of Psychiatry experience (outpatient preferred)
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology
- Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
- EMR experience required Preferred
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health , community mental health, or integrated care
- Experience with diverse, underserved, or high-acuity populations
- Bilingual (Spanish a plus) Salary may reflect bonuses & incentives
