Responsibilities

Ready to Own Features End-to-End on a Platform That Members Rely on for Their Health Every Day? Why This Role Matters This isn't a role where you hand off a ticket and move on. As a Software Engineer II, you own features from design through production — and when things break, you help fix them, because the platform you're building is one members depend on to manage their health. The work is technical, the stakes are real, and the scope grows with you. What You'll Actually Do

• Build and ship platform features:
• Design, code, and test new components and enhancements across web platforms using Java and Kotlin. Resolve production issues:
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues across system interfaces and underlying services, driving them through to resolution.
• Contribute to sprint delivery:
• Provide engineering input during grooming, planning, and kickoffs — estimating stories, surfacing dependencies, and defining implementation details.
• Own code quality: Conduct code reviews, uphold development standards, and contribute to architecture and framework decisions.
• Improve platform performance and monitoring:
• Monitor production health and enhance observability tooling to catch issues before they affect members. Reduce technical debt systematically:
• Identify debt, write clear user stories, and define actionable strategies for long-term fixes.

Qualifications

What You Bring to Our Team Education & Experience

• 2+ years in a software development role Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Java and/or .NET or similar
• Object-oriented programming
• Service and API development for web and mobile applications
• Full software development lifecycle practices including testing, monitoring, and design best practices
• Experience identifying and resolving production issues
