DevOPS (VCE) Engineer

• Build automation to provision environments and applications
• Build or leverage existing tools to automate production and non-production deployments
• Enable faster product delivery and time-to-market
• Provide support to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex Integration and/or environmental issues
• Create monitoring solutions and instrument applications to provide insights into performance and to understand emerging issues
• Identify enhancements to improve stability or performance of integration processes Pro-actively monitor environment and application health for potential issues and take action to preserve SLAs
• Document respective configurations, processes and procedures Make recommendations for architectural enhancements to improve security & performance
• Provide technical assistance for code builds and deployments
• Monitor assigned systems for security and performance on a daily basis Administer, update and tune existing non-production infrastructure Required Skills &
• Experience: 3+ years DevOps experience 3+ years experience in Linux system administration 2-3 years development experience using Agile development methodologies 1+ years experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef or an equivalent Proficient in PowerShell, JavaScript and/or Python
• Strong working knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization
• Experience with one or more of the following - Java, Ruby, Groovy
• Experience with tuning Linux systems, Java VM s, Application services
• Experience with Build/CI tools Hudson/Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven, Subversion, GIT
• Experience with network and file protocols including HTTP, SFTP, XML, HTML, etc.
• Experience with testing and debugging live systems
• Experience with Load Balancers
• Experience with relational databases with MYSQL being preferred Willingness and demonstrate ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
• Solid understanding of server architectures, operating systems & application resource utilization
