Job Description Reporting to the Testing Manager, he/she will be involved in carrying out Testing Projects focused mainly on the study of the structural durability and abuse performance of the vehicles . The Test Engineer will be in charge of the execution of the testing projects which he/she will be assigned for and will act as window person with the client. The successful Test Engineer has a self-starting mentality, enjoys working hands-on on a variety of projects simultaneously and understands how to achieve a high level of "client" satisfaction from technical and quality points of view. In particular, the Test Engineer will be in charge of the following responsibilities and duties :

• Study of client’s test requirements.
• Create test procedures, plans and test reports to support the test project.
• Specify instrumentation & equipment on test vehicles and perform test data collection (RLDA) using sensors like wheel force transducers, accelerometers, strain gages, string potentiometers etc.
• Design, creation and implementation of automated data analysis scripts to analyse the collected data.
• Analyse and process the collected test data and check for data integrity.
• Work in close collaboration with vehicle technicians, instrumentation and design teams.
• Write test reports to document results of testing and to communicate issues found.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• The role will be based in IDIADA Spain and will require travel based on project characteristics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 1+ years of experience in vehicle-level testing projects related to the activities described in Job Description section. Technical Competencies: Test Equipment Expertise:
• Proficient use and handling of test equipment including:
• Wheel force transducers
• Accelerometers
• Strain gauges
• String potentiometers
• Data acquisition systems (Quantum, eDAQ) Software Proficiency:
• Data acquisition and analysis platforms (CATMAN, Glyphworks n-Code, Siemens TestLab, RPC)
• Programming and analytical tools (MATLAB, Python) Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience writing formal procedures, plans, and technical reports
• Comfortable leading client meetings and presenting test results with technical depth
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) Soft Skills:
• Proactive – shows eagerness in learning & finding ways to meet deliverables without dependency.
