High School English Teacher

Dove Science Academy HS-OKC is currently accepting applications for a 9th-12th Grade English Teacher with English experience.

• Bachelor's
• Degree is required. Job Duties for High School English Teacher : *
• Prepare appropriate curriculum and annual plan to submit to administration for approval * Instruct High school students in the subject of English *
• Apply the curriculum as prepared and approved *
• Maintain student records of attendance, discipline, growth, etc. *
• Create and post lesson plans * Assign and grade assessments *
• Prepare and administer tests to evaluate students' progress *
• Maintain discipline in the classroom * Promote character in the school * Issue reports to inform parents of progress *
• Communicate regularly with parents to offer positive reinforcement regarding social and academic achievements of the students * Additional Duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English or ELA Education and 1 year of experience as English Teacher at middle or high school level. Teaching experience must be full-time as a teacher of record in a general education setting. Teachers with a current Oklahoma teaching certificate will receive priority consideration
