Job description

Overview

NV5 is seeking experienced and motivated Spectral Analyst to provide operational support activities required to acquire, process, model, analyze, database, catalog and disseminate non-literal electro-optical (EO) passive sensor Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) to produce intelligence reports, presentations, algorithms, tools, workflows, training, CAD models and technical papers. This role will support the National Air and Space Intelligence Agency (NASIC) and the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). Work Environment:

  • Location: Dayton, OH - National Air and Space Intelligence Agency (NASIC) and the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB)
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Travel:

Requirements

  • STEM-related degree is required (Masters/Doctorate in Chemistry, Physics, Imagery Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science).
  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in spectral analysis.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Strong technical writing and briefing skills (experienced with MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with ENVI, SOCET GXP, RemoteView, ArcGIS, and/or similar software tools.
  • Ability to code/script, such as in Python, MATLAB, R, and/or IDL.
  • Experience in processing and analyzing remote sensing data from active or passive sensors, especially spectral, and/or thermal (IR) data.
