Position
Overview
Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team at our new Columbia County hospital. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a cutting-edge trauma service within a modern facility equipped with the latest technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert orthopedic trauma care, including surgical interventions and post-operative management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care, and rehabilitation specialists.
- Participate in trauma call coverage and support the hospital’s commitment to excellent trauma services.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical research initiatives as applicable.
- Mentor and train residents and medical students (if affiliated).
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency.
- Fellowship training in orthopedic trauma preferred.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
