Overview
Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville is seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to facility leadership and staff. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient daily operations through calendar management, meeting coordination, document preparation, communication support, and handling confidential information. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and customer service skills, demonstrate professionalism in a healthcare environment, and thrive in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.
- Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
- Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
- May responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing.
- May direct and lead the work of others.
- May manage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities.
- Create spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed.
- Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls.
- May cover the reception desk when required.
- Calendar management, schedule appointments, update calendars and arrange staff meetings OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
